FESTIVAL MUSICS FROM TODAY TO TOMORROW

October from 13th to 27th 2019

Philharmonic Orchestra of Nice
Musical direction: György G. Ráth

A coproduction directed by the Opera of Nice and the national Museums of XXth century of the Alpes-Maritimes

This new edition of the Festival has been inspired by the philosophical tale Le Petit Prince (1943), written by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry :
« Si tu viens, par exemple, à quatre heures de l'après-midi, dès trois heures je commencerai d'être heureux.
Plus l'heure avancera, plus je me sentirai heureux. A quatre heures, déjà, je m'agiterai et m'inquiéterai; je découvrirai le prix du bonheur !
Mais si tu viens n'importe quand, je ne saurai jamais à quelle heure m'habiller le cœur... Il faut des rites. ».

Each evening, the concert program will be developed around a word, in reference to the philosophical tale :
- Little Prince (October 13th)
- Birds (October 14th)
- Poetry (October 19th)
- Dream (October 20th)
- Emotion (October 26th)
- Surprise (October 27th)

BRAND NEW !

Edith Mahieux, maîtresse de cérémonie, festival, musiques contemporaines classiques, Opéra de Nice, musée national Marc Chagall

This year, each concert evening will be introduced by Edith Mahieux, mistress of ceremonies.
She will present all the selected musical peaces by telling us secrets and stories on peaces, on composers and musicians, with humour and in a poetic manner. For sure she will lead us to some unexpected trips...
